Yes, in God's back yard
From Eddie McCoven, church staff member:
Through our building project "God's Vision, Nuestra Misión", we discovered a way to help with the growing housing issue in San Diego. We answered God's call to not just to build a new Fellowship Hall, but to also build affordable housing on church property.
Turns out, we're not the only group of people who had that idea. A group of community leaders was also looking into ways faith communities, like ours, could help ease the housing crunch. This group's campaign is called "Yes, in God's back yard."
While we still have considerable time and city approvals to go through, our hope is to be able to offer some San Diegans a low cost roof over their head. In fact, our project could be the prototype of the "Yes, in God's back yard" initiative.
In the meantime, our efforts, and that of YIGBY, caught the attention of local news outlets.

We encourage all of you to pray for our Building Project, that everything will go smoothly and according to plan, and that ultimately, God's will be done. Another way that you can help is to make a financial donation to the Building Fund.
And feel free to contact the church office with any questions.
