Update on church ministries from our Senior Pastor
This past week our executive committee met to discuss the church’s business. We are continuing to be stable financially as many members have continued to give online, by mail or bringing their offering for drive-thru communion. We also have not had an issue with our outside renters. At this time, we will continue to operate at the budgeted levels for our staff.
By following the guidelines of health experts we will continue to have the campus closed until April 30. Meetings will be held with an option for web based Zoom meetings. This will include our church council.
The transition team hopes to have our Mission Site Profile ready for presentation to the council for the April 14th meeting.
The building committee will continue to meet and analyze the bids we have received for the fellowship hall project. No final decision will be made until we can gather for a congregational meeting.
Holy Week is upon us. We will be sharing worship on both Thursday and Friday. Please join in watching on both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. We will have a special remembrance of our Baptism on Thursday. We invite you to have a small bowl of water and to make the sign on the cross together with all watching. Friday will be a reading of the passion story from Matthew’s Gospel.
Easter will feature a live webcast of our festival worship. We will offer drive-thru communion from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. as well.
Blessings,
Rev. Dr. Jonathan Doolittle
