Next Sunday: May 20th The Esperanza Youth choir and Children’s choir of CLC will present their musical: "Get Bach to Work" a day in the life of Johann Sebastian Bach; by Fred Boch, for the congregation, parents and friends at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Katy and the kids have been working hard to memorize their parts and songs! All they need now is a full house to present their show! Won’t you take an hour and join us here? Gardener needed! We are in need of someone who loves to plant flowers to care for our front flowerbed, in front of the chapel window, and the small bed by the church office. We would like to thank Wendell for his many years of caring for them, but due to his back he is no longer able to do so. Please let Pastor Jon or Angela know if you are interested in helping out! One more week for our Thursday night dinners. Join us this week for a special celebration before we take a break for the summer. Suppers at the Beach will start the Wednesday after July 4th at DeAnza cove. Youth Fundraiser: the “Wall O Money” in the narthex area still has a few envelopes to be filled. If you are able please consider helping the kids travel to New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering this summer! Sign up now for your child to participate in Summer Music Camp. For those of you who have never before experienced a Choristers Guild camp, it will be a fun-filled week of singing, dancing, acting, workshops, and the most amazing fully-staged and costumed musical on Friday Night with a live band. “Rescue in the Night” the Story of Daniel in the Lions’ Den by Alan Pote and Tom Long. 2nd -8th grade will audition for parts on May 26th. 9th-12th Graders will be Stage Crew and Drama Team and will present a short Comedic Drama as a prologue to the show, serve as assistants to the stage manager, act as lighting and sound crew, sets and props design and construction, costume design, and much more! It is well worth the time and effort. Don't miss the fun! Contact Katy Lundeen with questions at: klundeen@24@hotmail.com A Big Thank You to everyone that participated in the Chili Cook-off, both here at church and at Christ Lutheran. We were able to raise $676.00 for Agape House. The total amount raised by all churches that made chili and/or cookies was over $25,000!
